Without any changes at year-end, I believe season tickets will be down

by 6-8,000 and perhaps higher. Individual ticket sales will be down a lot also, but will be helped somewhat by dirt cheap prices. PC contributions, concessions, parking, etc. will also tank. The demographics of our fan base will make these declines even more detrimental over the long term. Pirate Club members and/or season-ticket buyers tend to be older and more affluent. They also tend not to make buying decisions by impulse, but put much thought into the purchasing process. This means, once you have lost them, the probability of getting them back is very low. And, to recapture them, if you can, will require substantial marketing dollar outlays. This is what is so alarming about the situation. If the problem is not solved, the damage will not be short term, but will create a significant tear in the fabric of Pirate Nation for many years to come.
